An invitation sent to prospective panelists

More people would be willing to embrace the technology if they understood it and its implications for autism.
  • Understood its implication for Spectrum education
  • Knew the products on the market
  • Knew when, why and how to use them
  • Knew why, when and how to proceed to make their own clips
  • Were offered help making their own clips
  • Had standards established by an expert community
  • Saw examples to imitate
  • Knew what training and/or staff was required
  • Could see how it could be integrated with and possibly improve your current programs
  • Had a Support Network
  • Knew that integrating video modeling identifies a valued technical incentive  useful  to Professional Development activities and helps contain budgets through more effective utilization of IT assets.

In order to promote public understanding, we will conduct a webinar series intended to:
      • Provide free, public education about video modeling
      • Provide a forum for stakeholder groups to share perspectives
      • Discuss the role of stakeholder cooperation
      • Develop Best Practices guidelines for using the technology at home or school
OPTIONAL:  Discuss the desirability of using a network of home and classrooms to offer "soft evidence" advise to researchers preparing research grant proposals

The Webinars:
  • The series will cover each of the major stakeholder groups: parents, educators, administrators
  • Individual sessions will engage the attention of all to address the questions of just one group
